Ugo Firenze: Allo. May I help?

Sleeper: Tell me about yourself.

Ugo Firenze: What is it you wish to know from Ugo?

[HONORABLE]: I recognize that accent. You're from the Southern Continent.

Ugo Firenze: It is always a pleasure to meet a fellow Caladanian so far away from our Thelassic world.

Sleeper: Thelassic?

Ugo Firenze: From the ancient Greek, 'thelassa'. It means 'of the sea'. Which we both are.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: But you are correct; I am from the Highland Steppes of the Southern Continent, just beyond Atreides Ladning.

Sleeper: What do you do here?

Ugo Firenze: I am the assistant manager of the Salusan Bull.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: As such, I have my duties, but I mostly handle security operations and perform also a the wine steward.

Sleeper: wait, you're the bouncer and wine steward? How did that happen?

Ugo Firenze: Not such a strange story. Boy grows up in vineyard, boy goes to fight in offworld wars.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: And finally, boy follows his liege to a desert hell-world. A tale as old as time.

Sleeper: You fought for House Atreides?

Ugo Firenze: Si, si. I served the Duke in the Liberation of Ix and the raid on Giedi Prime before my time in the Arrakis campaign.

Sleeper: Do you love your Duke?

Ugo Firenze: I do. Of course I do. But Leto Atreides does not seek his vassals' love-only their loyalty and respect.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: And that might be why he is so loved. He cares more about doing the right thing than pleasing anyone-the Emperor included.

Sleeper: Tell me about the Liberation of Ix.

Ugo Firenze: I don't like to speak about Ix, but I will... for Enzo.

Sleeper: Enzo?

Ugo Firenze: My brother. We lost him at the retaking of the Grand Palais. There were two elements in our assault.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: Gurney Halleck, myself, and the Ixian Prince-in-exile commandeered a suspensor barge and attacked the Grand Palais from above.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: Meanwhile, Swordmaster Idaho led the bulk of Atreides forces in the main assault on the Palais' front gates.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: Young Enzo was his official messenger boy, and worse the proper tabard to identify him as such.

Sleeper: What does that mean?

Ugo Firenze: Messengers are unarmed. The Messenger Tabard is meant to identify and protect its wearer from interference on the battlefield.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: The Forms of Kanly are clear on this.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: But the Forms were not obeyed that day.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: Standing in their way was Commander Cando Garon and an understrength company of Imperial Sardaukar.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: The Bene Tleilaxu were in disarray. Their authority collapsed entirely as the native Ixians began to rise up.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: The Sardaukar were outnumbered and had no reason to stay in the fight.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: Whatever intrigue the Emperor was involved with on Ix had surely been disrupted if not foiled utterly.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: But... the Sardaukars do not surrender. Nor do they-it turns out-honor the forms of Kanly when they are losing.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: By all accounts, Enzo was caught by a dying Sardaukar and had his head dashed apart against the ground.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: I got the taste for killing Sardaukar that day. An appetite I will never satisfy.

Sleeper: Tell me about the raid on Giedi Prime.

Ugo Firenze: The Warmaster, Gurney Halleck, he led us on raid against the Baron's secret off-book spice hoard.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: That one hurt the Baron where it hurts most-the bottom line. And we all know how extensive the Baron's bottom line is.

[Next] Ugo Firenze: But the best part was that the Baron could not go crying to the Emperor because his spice hoard was illegal!

Sleeper: Tell me about your time in the Arrakis campaign.

Ugo Firenze: I'm afraid operational security prevents me from discussing any aspect of the War of Assassins.
