Stilgar is the Fremen Naib of Sietch Tabr. Following the Sardaukar pogrom he was forced to flee para-South, past the guardian sandstorms.
Act 5 +
The first direct contact the player has with Stilgar is through a Distrans carried by Noctua after the events of The Great Convention - Part II, where he says "Ibn Qirtaiba, Zantara. We are coming."
Stilgar is not seen in person during the game until the epilogue of Act 5, after the Player escapes the exploding Sardaukar prison ship and the sacrifice of The Sleeper, whom Stilgar considers a hero along with Zantara.
Stilgar marks the potential for the Fremen returning in future stories, but remains distrusting of the player as an outsider.
