Deserters
The Deserters are a hostile group of NPCs that can be found scattered across the Hagga Rift in Hagga Basin, occupying Camps and Caves alike. They can also be found in the Deep Desert.
Deserters, as the name suggests, are former House soldiers who have since abandoned their duties.
Lore
The War of Assassins, which dragged on for nearly eight years, exhausted the strength of both House Atreides and House Harkonnen.
As skirmishes and large-scale engagements ensued, House Atreides found itself unable to save all its soldiers.
Many soldiers lost faith in their Great Houses, deserting their former allegiances. Some bands of Deserters even consisted of former soldiers from both opposing Houses, all working together in a desperate bid to survive the desolate deserts of Arrakis.
In-Game
This enemy faction can be found in Hagga Rift, and the Deep Desert.
Most of them are suited up as soldiers of House Atreides, but the heavy infantry appear as Harkonnen traitors.
