CHOAM Mineral Extraction Facility #4 is a Deserter outpost in the Hagga Rift, east of The Spiral. It features one large chamber with poisonous clouds located at the base as well as at the higher levels in the rear. There are no enemies present but there are several corpses of deserters who perished to the hazards. A side passage near the bottom entrance leads to Testing Station 23.

CHOAM, or the Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles, are the cartel that controls most trade and shipping within the Imperium. Its board members wield immense influence on the Landsraad and are seen as positions of unmatched authority. They are tasked with mineral extraction and distribution both on Arrakis and across the wider universe. Mineral Extraction Facility 4 was one of their facilities located in the Rift region of the Hagga Basin. Protected from the vicious Coriolis storms above, it was chosen primarily to extract erythrite crystal, but has since fallen into disrepair. The ongoing War of Assassins has left the area too dangerous and the mine has become infested with deserters from both sides of the conflict. Freed from any obligation to their houses, the soldiers now focus only on survival by any means necessary.
