The Stairway
The Stairway is a location in the Hagga Rift, populated by deserters. The base is centred on a staircase that allows entry from above the Rift and continues to the bottom level of the Rift, with several floors providing habitation, recreation, and work spaces to its inhabitants. It also includes a landing platform for ornithopters within the Rift.

Location
The Stairway is a location in the Hagga Rift. It is located west of CHOAM Mineral Extraction Facility 3.
Intel
The Stairway's Intel location is exactly like the Rift's Hideout Intel location. If this is the first one of the two that you are trying to obtain, I recommend that you fly directly over the gap to the Rift's Hideout and follow these exact instructions. A very easy 10 Intel to earn!
Directions: The best way to find this Intel would be to start from the top of the facility (Located on The Rift's surface). Drop down the circular shaft until you reach the bottom. There you will see a locked door. Opposite of the locked door you will find the keycard tucked around the corner. Once you obtain the keycard, go through the locked door and head straight until you run into a large crate. Look to the left of the crate and you will find the Intel!
Lore
A Shigawire tape reveals that the Stairway was originally a neutral mining base before it was caught in the battle between the Harkonnen and Atreides forces in the Hagga Rift, which is sandwiched between the Atriedes Helius Gate and the Harkonnen Riftwatch. The foreman ordered the workers evacuated and that Nesman should take them to the Shield Wall, where they likely became future members of the Sandflies. The base has since been overtaken by House Deserters.
MINING FOREMAN: I'm going down there to see if I can get our people out. Take charge of the top side crews. Get them out of here - head nortth to the Shield Wall. We'll rendezvous there if we can. Hurry!
MINING FOREMAN: They're throwing our workers out into the rift unprotected - on a battlefield! So much for Kanly!
MINING FOREMAN: Nesman, evacuate all personnel from the station immediately! Harkonnen troops are occupying the mining galleries and Atreides forces are moving in from the North! We're in the middle of a war zone!
