Specializations

Specializations were added to Dune Awakening as part of the revamped endgame loop and Landsraad system introduced in Chapter 3. There are five categories of specialization: Crafting, Gathering, Exploration, Combat, and Sabotage. Each specialization is comprised of a total of 100 traits. Traits come in two varieties, major and minor, and each offer a specific buff to player stats related to that specialization. Additionally, major traits must be purchased using spice melange, with the amount required for unlock increasing with level.
The specialization system is tied into the Landsraad system. To gain experience to apply to specialization players must complete missions in the respective category which can be accessed via the Landsraad and Landsraad Missions menus. Landsraad missions are accomplished in Hagga Basin or in Overworld areas and Testing Stations.
Crafting
The Crafting Specialization offers boosts for various activities connected to crafting, repairing, tool efficiency and refining efficiency. By fulfilling Crafting Missions in the Landsraad Mission System you acquire the necessary Crafting XP to activate and buy the bonuses one by one.

Additionally, the crafting specialization offers recurring 1% Crafted Item Durability as you progress in the crafting specialization line, adding a total of +59% Crafted Item Durability as you reach the final bonus.
Gathering
The Gathering Specialization offers boosts for various activities connected to gathering resources, salvaging, crafting and tool efficiency. By fulfilling Gathering Missions in the Landsraad Mission System you acquire the necessary Gathering XP to activate and buy the bonuses one by one.
