The Carrier Ornithopter is a massive aerial vehicle, designed to harness and transport other vehicles such as the Buggy, Sandcrawler, or smaller Ornithopters. A special Cargo Container module also allows for particularly massive hauls.
It can carry its harnessed payload across the Overland Map, between any Regions and Settlements. Cargo stored in anything it is transporting is accessible at the CHOAM Exchange in Settlements via both the Guild Banker and the Market Terminals.
Modules
The Carrier Ornithopter has 1 optional module available:
- Thruster - increases speed at the risk of overheating the engine.
The Carrier Ornithopter has 2 Unique modules available:
- Roc Wing - allows for further gliding with less altitude loss.
- Steady Boost Module - provides a steady, longer boost but at a lower maximum speed.
The harnessable Cargo Container module is functionally a separate "vehicle". It is placed using the Welding Torch and counts toward your maximum vehicle limit.
