Purpose / Ethos
We are mostly a PvE guild with very light elements of RP, and perhaps PvP in the future, depending upon the membership's will.
Recruitment Process
Ranks/Hierarchy
The Circle. "The Circle" is the command council of the Sardaukar Recon Battalion. It consists of the Captain and all of the Levenbrechs.
Captain. The Captain watches over the Battalion and runs the Discord Server. The Captain has a vote just like the other members of The Circle, but holds the deciding vote if The Circle has reached a deadlock, or there is no clear majority. The Captain can also veto any changes made if they are not in the best interests of the Battalion. The Captain is the guild leader in the game.
Levenbrech. The Levenbrechs are members of The Circle. Each Levenbrech is responsible for various aspects of the guild, such as PvE, PvP, Crafting, RP, Recruiting or other necessary divisions.
Immenbrech. Immenbrechs are Squad Leaders. They look out for the welfare of their squad members and are responsible for promoting their Troopers as they see fit.
Corporal. Corporals are the second in command of a squad. They assist their Immenbrech in squad duties. If/when an Immenbrech thinks their Corporal is capable and worthy to run a squad of their own, the Immenbrech will submit the Corporal's name to The Circle for command selection. On successful selection, the Corporal will be promoted to Immenbrech and a squad assignment.
Trooper. The Backbone and the building blocks of the Sardaukar Recon Battalion. On promotion to Trooper you will be assigned to an Immenbrech and inducted into a squad.
Conscript. A Conscript is a probationary member of the Sardaukar Recon Battalion. After being active in the guild for a month, you will be promoted to Trooper and receive full access to all server channels and storage facilities in-game.
Convict. All members start off as a Convict. You were sent to the Emperor's Prison Planet. You Survived and were deemed worthy of joining the Sardaukar. After a successful Selection interview with a member of the Circle and a random member of the guild, who has reached the minimum rank of Trooper, you will be promoted to Conscript. Conscript will give you access to most things on the Discord server and in game.

Guild Lore
Our Sublime Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV has ordered the creation of a small autonomous reconnaissance unit that will provide His Imperial Majesty with intelligence on the various factions vying for control of Arrakis' primary resource, Melange. This unit will live off the land, resupply itself as need be from other belligerents and when possible, provide Melange for His Imperial Majesty's treasury. As this unit will not openly be acknowledged in the Sardaukar ORBAT (Order of Battle), it will nonetheless remain listed as "a battalion of detachments" of the 11th Imperial Sardaukar Legion. In order to maintain anonymity, the unit will be staffed by recently released convict conscripts to be trained by the command staff. So ordered in Imperial Council, this day, the 11th of nEzhrini, 10190 A.G.
The Sardaukar Recon Battalion's lore is designed to allow all character class creations an RP reason to be in the Sardaukar Recon Battalion. The conceit being that we were all convicts of the Emperor's prison planet, Salusa Secundus. We survived the ordeal of the sentence and now that we're hardened survivors of Salusa Secundus, we've been inducted into the Sardaukar.
