The alliance between House Vandalas and House Atreides is one born of mutual respect, shared values, and a long-standing trust. During the early days of Duke Leto Atreides’ rise, House Vandalas covertly aided the Atreides in rooting out Harkonnen saboteurs on Caladan. Though the assistance was never publicly acknowledged, Duke Leto forged a blood pact between the two Houses.
House Vandalas admired House Atreides’ moral code, sense of honor, and dedication to the well-being of their people—traits rarely seen in the political landscape of the Landsraad. In return, House Atreides values the strength, foresight, and loyalty of the Vandalas.
