Players may encounter various errors which disconnect them from the game. Below are a list of known issues and solutions, provided either by the devs or sourced from the community. It will be updated as more features get found and resolved. Keep checking back for more.

P34 - Connection Request Time Out

The client waited for a response from the server and received none.

  • The client waited for a response from the server and received none. This may indicate:
  • The game server is currently offline.
  • Your network path to the server was lost (e.g., internet outage, unplugged cable, failed router).

First, check to see if there is a scheduled maintenance in our servers. You can check this via our Discord server or social channels: Twitter, Facebook

  • Double-check your internet connection. Reboot your router if needed.
  • Verify that no firewalls or VPNs are interfering.
  • If everything checks out, the issue may still lie server-side. Stand by and try again later.
  • If previous steps didn’t work, you can also send Funcom your session logs so they can investigate: 'C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\DuneSandbox\Saved\Logs'

The connection between client and server was severed without warning.

  • Check for and disable packet-shaping software such as cFosSpeed. This is sometimes pre-installed with certain motherboards.

The server is under heavy demand and could not process your connection request.

  • Wait a few minutes and try again.
  • During peak times, access may be limited. Know that the sand will shift again soon and let you in.
  • Create a character on another, less populated, server.

P64 - Kicked by Anti-Cheat

The server side Anti Cheat systems detected something irregular and kicked you.

  • Verify the integrity of your game files through Steam.
  • Ensure your system is free of overlay or injection software that might interfere.

  • Disable or uninstall any packet-shaping software (e.g., cFosSpeed), which may come pre-installed on certain motherboards.

FG3 - Kicked by BattlEye (Query Timeout)

BattlEye detected some issues, often related to client perihperal drivers. Notably Xbox Controllers

This is an uncommon issue where players may be repeatedly kicked from the game due to BattlEye detecting driver issues with certain peripherals. Most commonly this occurs with Xbox controllers and their extended features.

  • Try to disable Xbox Extended Feature Support:
    • Go into Steam Big Picture Mode > Controller Settings
    • Disable "Xbox Extended Feature Support" (even if not currently enabled)
    • Uninstall the Xbox Extended Feature Support driver
    • Restart Steam
