Image includes the House Harkonnen sigil (an open circle with four spikes, one at top, bottom, right, and left, with the upper left section missing) in red with black outline. On the left spike rests a small pile of vibrant violet spice sand, with curling translucent wisps rising from it. The sigil overlays a pale orange planet with swirling dust storms, Arrakis. Dune.

Purpose / Ethos

We at the Allied Arrakis branch of Harkonnen - Imperium Logistics and Trade are contracted through CHOAM. We ensure that critical goods and services found only on Arrakis are supplied to the Imperium, to the benefit of both the Great House Harkonnen and our beloved Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. It is said: "the Spice must flow."

Recruitment Process

((Players may reach out to TheGall through this Wiki or Discord prior to launch to be added to the guild's server. Post launch, we will update this page to include server and sietch information. After which, players who prefer to may contact us in character, in game.))

Ranks/Hierarchy

((Out of Character: Discord ranks may not align directly with those reflected in game. At present, the structure includes The Director, Department Heads, Full Members, and New Members.))

Leadership

((The guild's leader (@TheGall) has been involved in the Dune: Awakening community since the start of 2025, and in the greater roleplay community since World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade. As an active part of roleplay community leadership for 20 years, the player has run guilds, organized events, and provided resources in and out of games. TheGall is known for groan-worthy-puns, general helpfulness, a love of roleplay, and being a Kitty-Parent.

Leadership in game is TBD and will be determined by active member interest.))

Guild Lore

Since the failure of the previous AALT contractors and utter bungling of its resources, HILT dissolved its Arrakis branch and has requested a Harkonnen Na-Familia representative to restructure AALT and serve as acting Director. Pending reports, HILT risks losing its CHOAM contract on Arrakis as well as the Baron's favor. The stakes are high and no one wishes to draw the attention of the Beast or the Sardaukar.

Dust to Dust:

When he arrived at the old base, the power was off. Drained some time ago judging from the condition of the walls. Cracked and shattered glass, supports worn thin... The sandstorms are brutal, he was told. Though perhaps the heavy coat of fine sand on every surface and in every crevasse gives some indication.

The smell is pervasive, the warm cinnamon scent which rises and falls in the shifting wind. It's everywhere. In everything.

"They say it changes you..." he mutters to himself while tracing a swirl into the soft grit on his predecessor's desk. The muted yet warm aroma again lifts into the air. "Hmph."

Truly, the new Director has no idea. But like everyone else, soon he will learn Arrakis is a test.

Damaged Goods

"Look, there are some things a man's got to do himself," *the Director gruffly blurts while dragging a damaged long chest across the floor. The grating screech of it makes him and the two bondsmen impotently standing aside to wince. Once it is clear of the other remaining chests and the undamaged, accessible end is free, he dismisses the bondsmen with a flick of his hand.* "Make yourselves useful and get some water, will you? Plenty of Kirab in the area."

*Glancing at each other, the two men, sworn to his house, quirk their brows. The Director grunts and gestures toward a curious device sitting on a small chest by a purifier.* "Use that, kill them first--or don't--and it takes their blood. Put the blood in the purifier when you return." *A slow blink causes the Director to rise to his feet. Tall as he is some might consider him something of a freak. Though at least not nearly so much as his distant cousins.* "GO."

*With the bondsmen kept busy, he can finally get to his self-appointed task: inventory. He ticks off little marks for items which remain and makes it through the damaged chest within short order... Primarily because it is nearly empty.*

*However, something draws his gaze back to the floor tile where the long chest sat. He squints at the violet glimmer in the air.* "Curious..." *Approaching the tile, he sees one corner is badly cracked. Leaning down, the Director squints and mutters,* "Even the foundation is... is..."

*Moving closer, the scent of it catches him again. It pulls him closer and before he realizes it, ensnares him.*

Known Allegiances or Rivalries

HILT is strongly and directly tied to the Great House Harkonnen. However, for the sake of the Imperium, Allied Arrakis Logistics and Trade is willing to partner with individuals in Atreides, the Minor Houses, Scavengers, Smugglers, and so on. Of course, Kanly will be observed as it applies.

((No current in game rivalries or allegiances. This is subject to change.))

Other Activities

((The guild are comprised of gamers who know each other in Real Life™, from other games/fandoms, and from various social networking platforms. Games include Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy FFXIV, Star Wars: the Old Republic, DnD, Magic the Gathering, and more.
